PSP v.7 Photo Tutorial PSP v.7 Photo Tutorial
Remember...always make backup copies of your files. This tutorial assumes that you have basic experience using PSP.
This tutorial provides examples on using PSP for applying simple photos to candy wrappers.
Step 1.First, you will want to open the wrapper and the photo image inside Paint Shop Pro Remember to use the File > Save As feature after you've completed creating your new wrapper design to avoid saving your changes to the original file.
Step 2.Then click on your "selection" tool (it's the icon of a box made out of dashes).
Step 3.Now click and hold your mouse cursor in the top left corner of your photo and drag it over the photo. This lets you select what portions of the photo you want to use.
Step 4.If your photo is too large, first resize it by selecting "Image" then "Resize" from your menu bar. The best maximum height for photos inserted into the wrapper's text area is 170 pixels in height. After you've selected the portion of the photo you want to use, click "Edit" and then "Copy".
Step 5.Now go to your wrapper. Click "Edit" and then "Paste >> As New Selection". You can move the image around to position it properly.
Step 6.If you need to make the pasted image bigger/smaller/etc, click on the weird icon that has a box with little dots running around the edge.
Step 7.You can click on the corner to drag the image bigger or smaller. There's even a little lever in the center that will let you position the image diagonally.
